Wildlife in the City Week – Seattle WA

Discover Your Wild Neighbors

April 15-21, 2018

The National Wildlife Federation, in partnership with Seattle Parks and Recreation, Conservation Northwest, and other local organizations, is presenting the second annual Wildlife in the City Week. This multi-day, multi-venue event will help the community to explore and learn how we can all have a positive impact on wildlife living among us and become a champion of urban wildlife.

Discover Your Wild Neighbors

Our experiential events range from urban wildlife walks to hands-on activities with youth at community centers. The week will conclude with a Wildlife Festival on Saturday, April 21 from 1-5 pm at Discovery Park. Numerous nonprofit organization will share what people in urban areas can do to help animals specific to the Puget Sound, like river otters, salmon and bobcats, that need our protection.

National Wildlife Federation

The National Wildlife Federation is one of the largest and most influential non-profit conservation, education and advocacy organizations in the U.S. We are building on a long legacy of bringing species such as bison, eagles and whales back from the brink of extinction while inspiring the next generation of conservationists.
