Join us at the California Native Plant Workshop! Learn the importance of planting plants native to the local California soil, how they improve soil quality and nutrient levels, as well as mitigate the need for watering in our drought laden society.

At 8:30am, TEDx ticket holders and local volunteers are invited to join We Plant Peace and local organization Theodore Payne Foundation (www.theodorepayne.org) to help plant a native garden at San Fernando Gardens Public Housing Project in conjunction with the Housing Authority of the City of Los Angeles. Volunteers will learn about how native plants are adapted to local conditions and how they enhance the environment for all. This workshop will offer a hands-on approach to successful techniques for establishing sustainable native plant landscapes.

The event takes place Friday December 2 at 8:30am at the San Fernando Gardens Public Housing Project in Pacoima, CA as part of the Pre-TEDxLA City Experiment Series. See you there!
