There will be different race categories, such as recreational kayak, canoe, racing kayak, or other craft. Racers will launch from Sojourner Truth Park in New Paltz. The race will begin at the Route 299 bridge, head downstream 1/2 mile to the River to Ridge site, and return to finish at the same starting point.

Riverkeeper is the leading defender of an ecosystem as complex as it is fragile. As the river struggles to recover from four centuries of abuse, our boat makes regular patrols, our lawyers fight polluters in court, and our members act as watchdogs to preserve the beauty we’ve inherited.
