We welcome you locally and globally to join us in our Opening Ceremony of The 2015 Annual Compassion Games, the largest compassion competition in the world!! Our intent is to move, inspire, and challenge you into conscious action in collective compassion during the 11 Days of Global Unity!
Intentions
What are the objectives?
- On the evening of 9/11, this event is the opening ceremonies for the 2015 annual Compassion Games.
- The evening event will honor the spirit of unity and compassion that arose in the immediate aftermath of the 9/11 attacks.
- The event will provide a positive, helpful way for people to remember and pay tribute to the 9/11 victims, and honor those that rose in service in response to the attacks.
- Compassion Games offer inspiring and creative ways to contribute to the community and will engage the community in playing in the games.
- We will experience and share on the report map compassionate actions taking place in the three dimensions of compassion for others, earth, and ourselves
- We will emphasize the King County Health Clinic and the campaign to eradicate veteran homelessness Operation: Welcome One Home
- We’re looking to sign up 10,000 new secret agents, recruit 150 new teams and serve 1 million people during the global games
We are also about to launch a new way to play that focuses on ending homelessness for veterans in partnership with the Mayor of Louisville and other cities around the country in support of the initiative called “Welcome One Home”. We will be introducing opportunities right here in the Salish Sea Region to play the games and shine your most compassionate self with various inspiring opportunities.
This Opening Ceremony will include a variety of vibrant compassion games activists icons, global activist, and performances that all share the secret ingredient of passion for The 2015 Annual Compassion Games!! Partner highlights of the night are KEXP, Seattle Center Free Clinic, LoveCityLove, Joel & Michelle Levey, Global Unity in Dance with Nia Seattle Teachers, Compassionate Action Network, Andy Smallman with Agents of Compassion, Compassionate Seattle, Seattle Stand Down, Rabbi Ted Falcon, Jamal Rahman, Grinning Yogi, Women of Wisdom, Operation One Home, Backbone Campaign, Honoring Beloved Community, and more!!

There is a reality that is worth stepping into today. A sacred time and space that encourages you to rise and step forward into what matters inside you. A sacred world where all beings open their eyes to an inclusive sunlit new day. A container that knows your next move is precious…… your next breath is courageous……. the next hand you touch is held with gratitude….. the next words you speak do matter.
The morning sun reaches into every single heart on this planet reminding us that we are all members of the “International Kindness Team”.
Let’s honor this moment knowing this shared timeless truth: “Compassion is the antidote to the fear, disconnection, and isolation of our time.”
An inner genuine smile begins to blossom ripple waves of win-win -win-win- win over the planet’s suffering with this ancient door opening to remember a way of living where we all impact a better world.
In the silence of this day all eyes reach the sky discovering a vision written in the white clouds in all languages, “Compassion is our power source.” These words imprint an intention that moves us all into a unified action song of The Compassion Games. This invitation in the sky is what unites us in our hearts through The Annual Compassion Games for 11 days in Global Unity starting September 11th National Day of Service through September 21st International Day of Peace. The next hand you touch voice you hear tree you see is also playing with you. This day ignites a spark inside all hearts beating a common challenge to elevate caring actions. This participation starts within self into pure love and acceptance. This space invites you to celebrate the relationship with others around you and the connection to others across the globe in the next 11 days as your team. All 37 trillion cells in your body and 7.5 trillion people have the chance challenge this planet we call home with the largest compassion challenge ever. “When we play together everyone, everything, and the planet Earth wins.”
