Expand The Box thoughtware upgrade 5-day training @ ROC Illetas Hotel
May 3 – May 7 all-day

Expand The Box is a safe and astonishing 3-day learning environment for upgrading traditional thinking and behaviors.

Without our knowing how, the standard thinking and behavior patterns we adopted from our parents, our culture and our education system severely limit both the quality of our relationships and our ability to respond creatively to the opportunities and challenges of life. Expand The Box installs swinging doors through walls that previously appeared to be impenetrable.

MARCH FOR SCIENCE 2018 Denmark
Apr 22 @ 1:00 pm – 4:00 pm

MARCH FOR SCIENCE

  DENMARK

  APRIL 22, 2018

COPENHAGEN 2018

COME MARCH WITH US!

WHEN: Sunday, April 22nd, 2018, 1 pm – 4 pm.

WHERE: Starts at the Niels Bohr Institute by the entrance to Fælledparken, at the corner of Blegdamsvej & Frederik V’s Vej. Ends at Julius Thomsens Plads at the entrance to Forum, where there will be talks and entertainment.

WHAT: The March for Science is a celebration of science. It’s not about scientists or politicians, but about the very real role that science plays in our society, and the need to respect and encourage research that gives us insights into our world.

WHY: In the face of an alarming trend toward discrediting scientific consensus and restricting scientific discovery, we ask ourselves: Can we afford not to speak out in the defence of science?

SCIENCE MARCHES ON

In 2017, more than one million people around the world gathered together in the largest event for science advocacy in history.  On April 22, 2018, March for Science Denmark unites again to hold our elected and appointed officials responsible for enacting equitable evidence-based policies that serve all communities and science for the common good.

IT’S TIME WE HELD OUR POLITICAL LEADERS ACCOUNTABLE FOR SUPPORTING GOOD SCIENCE POLICY. IT’S TIME WE JOIN TOGETHER AND DEMAND THAT OUR LEADERS USE SCIENCE TO INFORM THEIR WORK AND CAST THEIR VOTES FOR SCIENCE.

We are scientists, science enthusiasts and concerned people of planet Earth. We come from all cultures, all religions, all gender identities, all sexual orientations, all abilities, all socioeconomic backgrounds, all political perspectives, and all nationalities. Our diversity is our greatest strength; a wealth of opinions, perspectives, and ideas is critical for the scientific process and social progress. What unites us is a love of science, reason and an insatiable curiosity for knowledge. We recognize that science is everywhere and affects everyone on the globe.

Science protects the health of our communities, the safety of our families, the education of our children, the foundation of our economy and jobs, and the future we all want to live in and preserve for coming generations.

Be an Elder Standing for Earth and Humanity! @ First Unitarian Universalist Society of San Francisco

Sponsored by Elders Climate Action (ECA) and Elders Activists for Social Justice (EASJ), Action groups of the Conscious Elders Network, Environmental Justice Working Group and the Unitarian Universalist Church.
September 15, 2018
9 am – 4 pm
San Francisco, CA
As Elders, we will explore, decide, and act:

Seeing with new eyes- what really is happening to our Earth home.
Claiming our roles as Elders and our interconnection to all life.
Examining and choosing the ways we are called to act for our Earth home.

Come join a deep examination of our elderhood and our needed, pivotal role in restoring the life-sustaining legacy for our grandchildren, future generations, and all life. We will explore our passions and skills to effect change and to build relationships for a thriving future.

Be an Elder Standing for Earth and Humanity!

Morning Session
Through interactive processes from the Work that Reconnects, we will explore together how to reclaim our Elders’ moral voice — the voice that speaks for the welfare of all — protecting our grandchildren, restoring Mother Earth, and regenerating a flourishing world. We will have opportunities for truth-telling about the state of our world and the pain and gratitude we feel on its behalf. We will provide particular focus on the unjust effects on communities most at risk from climate chaos and on our planetary life support systems. And we’ll share our dreams of transforming our society towards health, justice, peace, and cooperation.

Lunch Hour
Lunch will be provided. This hour will feature a celebration of our diversity.

Afternoon Session
We will summarize the reality of our changing climate and the positive solutions available to combat this threat to all life. We will hear from Elders who have developed successful community organizing methods that we can adopt. We will divide into small groups by interest and region (a) to address climate action, social justice, intergenerational collaboration, or other themes that may arise; and (b) to create action plans for going forth. We will come together to report on these plans and our commitments thereof.

We will end by celebrating our elderhood and the restorative roles we have chosen.

Film Screening of 'Enemies of Peace – Preventing the Next War in the Middle East' @ Martin Luther King Jr. Auditorium, Santa Monica Public Library

https://11daysca.eventbrite.com

This powerful film serves as a warning sign of the impending threat of escalating regional war in the Middle East. With the increasing number of U.S. military bases and direct U.S. military involvement in the region, it is clear that our governmental officials as well as the public are not sufficiently informed in regards to the dynamics of the conflicts in the region. Enemies of Peace shines a spotlight on the instigators, aggressors and funders of these catastrophic wars as well as their motives. Featuring some of the most renowned scholars, journalists and activists on the subject, Enemies of Peace offers insights and solutions not often expressed by the mainstream media and serves to empower activists in helping to bring the principles of peace, justice, cooperation and diplomacy back into politics, international relations and the collective consciousness.

Shamanic Circle with Tuvan Shamaness ChokBar @ United Palace

Since ancient times, indigenous cultures have understood the importance of living in balance and harmony with the earth and cosmos. Because of this, shamanic living has been a source of empowerment, healing and fulfillment for a millennium.

Now, Hereditary Tuvan Shamaness ChokBar will bring ancient wisdom, practices, and rituals to the community in an intimate setting.

This exploration of the ethereal world and subtle realities will introduce you to spirit guides, ancestors, and power animals and awaken the interconnectivity that supports our healing, transformation, and life purpose. Shamanic work has been known to remove deeply rooted fears, attachments and unhealthy patterns that keep you from reaching your highest potential and finding personal fulfillment. Shamans have utilized the power and perfection of nature to facilitate healings for centuries.

In our monthly circle, you will journey to alternate esoteric realms through drumming, rattling, meditation and movement to remove obstacles, merge with spirit, and connect to the core of your being.

Join us to come into energetic alignment with the highest vibrations of the Universe and create positive change in your life and the world at large. The time for transformation is upon us.
