In celebration of the upcoming International Day of Peace, September 21st, we are hosting Greg Reitman’s ROOTED in PEACE – a globally transformative, socially-conscious, environmentally-based film. Reitman’s journey of self-analysis resonates with audiences seeking inner peace in a world full of people dominated by war, affected by global warming or haunted by inner conflict. The film follows him as he speaks to thought leaders around the world having conversations around sustainable development, discussing the challenges of our never-ending wars, and facing the realities of uncertainty placed on the world’s institutions by our current political climate. Reitman’s introspective and socially relevant documentary was most recently screened at the United Nations.
From the US to Costa Rica to India, award-winning filmmaker and environmental activist Greg Reitman traveled to visit such luminaries and activists as Deepak Chopra, music legends Donovan, Mike Love and Pete Seeger, film director David Lynch, Nobel Peace Laureate Mairead Maguire, Ted Turner, Archbishop Desmond Tutu and many others. Their common ideas and examples make ROOTED in PEACE an unexpectedly inspirational viewing experience magnified by a stellar soundtrack opening with Pink Floyd’s ‘Time’ and closing with John Lennon’s ‘Love.’

Hosted by Zach Freidhof
May all beings know peace. Om Shanti.
My the leaves of aggression fall from the trees of society,
and may the rotting fruits of anger
be turned to compost
through our inward efforts and outward compassion.

We will begin at Big Love HQ and walk in silence and mindfulness to Chestnut Ridge Park, about 25 min. We will meditate there for about 20 min and return to Big Love HQ. Then we will have a Peace Kirtan until 2pm, chanting for Peace – mainly Peace Shalom Salaam Shanti.
All are welcome! If anyone would like to bring food, it can be there at Big Love HQ for after the walk. We will walk rain or shine, though if there is a drenching rain or thunderstorm, we will just chant for Peace and reschedule the walk.
For those who have not experienced The Big Love Network, Peace Month is the perfect time. Come and walk with the kindest group of folks you”ll ever meet. Laugh and share food. Please bring a dish to share and stay for the meditation and chanting for inner peace and the power to send that on.

Open Heart Conversations: Zoroastrianism with Ferzin Patel, M.A.
Who are the Zoroastrians?
In this Open Heart Conversation, we will explore Zoroastrianism, the ancient Persian religion that may have originated as early as 4,000 years ago. It is arguably the oldest and first monotheistic faith and was the state religion of three Persian dynasties until the Muslim conquest of Persia in the seventh century.
Famous Zoroastrians include Cyrus the Great, founder of the Achaemenid Persian Empire who ruled by the Zoroastrian law of asha (truth and righteousness), but didn’t impose Zoroastrianism on the people of Persia’s conquered territories.
Many scholars claimed that tenets of Zoroastrianism helped to shape the major Abrahamic religions— Judaism, Christianity and Islam —through the influence of the Persian Empire. Zoroastrian concepts, such as a single god, heaven, hell, and a day of judgment may have been first introduced to the Jewish community of Babylonia, where people from the Kingdom of Judea had been living in captivity for decades.
When Cyrus conquered Babylon in 539 B.C., he liberated the Babylonian Jews among whom many returned home to Jerusalem, where their descendants helped to create the Torah or Hebrew Bible.
In Western culture:
Farrokh Bulsara, better known as British musician Freddie Mercury, lead singer for the rock band Queen, was of Parsi descent and a Zoroastrian. His 1991 funeral was performed by a Zoroastrian priest.
Zoroastrian god Ahura Mazda served as the namesake for Japanese automaker Mazda Motor Corporation. The company hoped that an association with the “God of Light” would “brighten the image” of their first vehicles.
George R.R. Martin, creator of the fantasy series A Song of Ice and Fire, which was later adapted into the HBO series Game of Thrones, developed the legend of Azor Ahai from Zoroastrianism. In it, a warrior demigod, Azor Ahai, defeats darkness with the help of the deity R’hllor, a fire god, which Martin may have modeled after Ahura Mazda.
On Sunday March 31st, join Rev. Arda Itez and Rev. Dr. Jose Roman in unveiling and celebrating the rich history and culture of this ancient tradition with Ferzin Patel, M.A., a Zoroastrian community leader and Trustee of the Dar-E-Mehr Zoroastrian Temple.
In 1969 the Loew’s 175th Street Theatre faced an uncertain future as the era of the single screen movie houses was ending and the building was falling into disrepair. The theatre was rescued when a spiritual center, now known as the United Palace of Spiritual Arts (UPSA), purchased the building and began restoring its timeless grandeur. Ever since then it has continued to hold Sunday services, serve the community, and provide best in class entertainment. We’ll celebrate 50 years of spiritual artistry with a live pre-show theatre organ performance and special screening of 2001: A SPACE ODYSSEY, the last movie shown in 1969.
Following the movie will be an anniversary service that explores the ongoing power of 2001, honors the Palace’s last 50 years, and kicks-off the countdown to February 2020 when the United Palace turns 90. The ceremony will be led by UPSA Board Chair Jean Houston, Ph.D., renowned visionary, scholar, author, and one of the principal founders of the Human Potential Movement, with music by inspirational singer/songwriter Karen Drucker. Then the festivities continue with an after party on stage with hors d’oeuvres and drinks.
Support the Movies at the Palace program by purchasing tickets to the after party on stage, buying a year-long movie pass to all movies at the Palace through 2019 (not including screening by outside promoters), or making a donation.

An evening of chants and songs to heal, inspire and empower.
Very few people can say that they have been a singing mermaid, a singing casket, and was literally “elevator music” when she was hired to sing and play piano in a moving elevator. Meet Karen Drucker.
Karen has recorded 15 CDs of her original inspirational music, and is the author of an inspirational book, “Let Go of the Shore: Stories and Songs That Set the Spirit Free.” Among her many accomplishments, she has been a professional comedienne, led her own band for corporate events, and has been the music director of New Thought Churches, as well as music director and “music weaver” for many spiritual conferences and retreats. Since ancient times, indigenous cultures have understood the importance of living in balance and harmony with the earth and cosmos. Because of this, shamanic living has been a source of empowerment, healing and fulfillment for a millennium.
Now, Hereditary Tuvan Shamaness ChokBar will bring ancient wisdom, practices, and rituals to the community in an intimate setting.
This exploration of the ethereal world and subtle realities will introduce you to spirit guides, ancestors, and power animals and awaken the interconnectivity that supports our healing, transformation, and life purpose. Shamanic work has been known to remove deeply rooted fears, attachments and unhealthy patterns that keep you from reaching your highest potential and finding personal fulfillment. Shamans have utilized the power and perfection of nature to facilitate healings for centuries.
In our monthly circle, you will journey to alternate esoteric realms through drumming, rattling, meditation and movement to remove obstacles, merge with spirit, and connect to the core of your being.
Join us to come into energetic alignment with the highest vibrations of the Universe and create positive change in your life and the world at large. The time for transformation is upon us.

Chant UP with Gaura Vani is a monthly world-music experience of kirtan. It is true spiritual artistry – it’s about connecting to the sacred – whatever that means for you – through participatory performance art and the ancient practice of communal singing. Kirtan is a musical form of storytelling, shared recitation and call-and-response that opens the heart and allows a glimpse of the beauty that lies in our human and spiritual connections.
Come experience a celebration of music, spirit and community led by Gaura Vani. Raise your voice and vibration!
What if everything you knew about reality is about to be transformed?
What if, instead of experiencing consciousness at different levels of self-awareness, you understand that consciousness is what we and the whole world are?
What if science finally catches up with universal spiritual truths to provide scientifically-based evidence of the unified nature of the whole world?
What if you’re about to be presented with more compelling confirmation that we’re microcosmic co-creators of our Universe, that evolves as a coherent entity?
You are.
Join Dr. Jude Currivan, cosmologist, planetary healer, futurist and author, for an afternoon that explores a scientific revolution that connects me to we, and everyone. Increasing evidence across many fields of research from cosmology and physics to biology and social studies are reconciling with spiritual experiences and ‘supernormal’ phenomena, such as telepathy, remote viewing and synchronicities, to show that we are interconnected and interdependent.
Instead of the apparent separation of the manifest world, we invite you to understand, experience and embody the unified reality of this wholeworld-view. This transformational shift invites you to celebrate and value your individual uniqueness and our collective diversity. It empowers us to live, love and evolve together in our universal oneness.
Join us to harness our communal wisdom to transform our current global emergency into the emergence of our conscious evolution.
Music will be provided by Kristin Hoffmann, a Julliard trained singer-songwriter-musician with extraordinary artistic range. Her music has been heard on major record labels, film and television, and she has performed throughout the world, collaborating with musical luminaries on projects ranging from individual albums to grand symphonic productions.

Join Rev. Arda Itez and Rev. Dr. Jose Roman for a very special Open Heart Conversation to explore the path of Bhakti-yoga with one of its most beloved spiritual leaders and NY Times best-selling author, his holiness Radhanath Swami, with music by Jahnavi Harrison and friends.
Introduced to the West as The International Society For Krishna Consciousness in 1966 by A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada, Bhakti-yoga has traceable roots to the 1st millennium, BCE. What came to be known as the “Hare Krishna Movement” developed into one of the most influential and important spiritual and social reformations in US history.
Sometimes referred to as “love for love’s sake,” Bhakti is one of the four yogic paths to enlightenment and the essence of spiritual perfection, which is to awaken ecstatic love for God.
What was it about the Bhakti tradition that inspired so many people to embrace it as their own?
Who are the Hare Krishnas?
What are the Bhakti tenets, spiritual practices and beliefs?
Discover the beauty behind one of the oldest, most well-known and often misunderstood spiritual traditions, and what led to his life of devotion directly from Radhanath Swami himself.

Join ONE vision council members Pam Montgomery, Jen Frey, and Lauren Valle for this dynamic weekend of coming home to our first and true Mother as we heal our relationship with her.
At this time in our evolution we have the privilege of being present here on Earth as she is in rapid transformation. As the Earth shifts, we are asked to adapt and, more importantly, to evolve into the Earth Stewards we are meant to be, taking up our rightful place as part of Nature. When we accept our role as co-creative partners with Nature, a new world emerges where all life can thrive. We continuously have access to support and guidance from Nature and our allies and realize that we are never alone. We move into the flow, working with Nature. Often overwhelming tasks become easy or perceived impossibilities become possible.
During this weekend we will engage in the process of becoming co-creative partners with Earth as we delve deeply into the ways to create good partnership:
-
Healing separation
-
Effective communication
-
Self-love
-
Trust
-
Joyful encounter
From within co-creative partnership we rise to walk in balance, coming home to ourselves and our Mother Earth, while we experience the interconnected web of life.
About Sweetwater Sanctuary
Sweetwater Sanctuary, our venue for this weekend, sits at the base of Marble Mountain and is surrounded by 10,000 acres of conserved land. Heart Spring, just outside our back door, brings forth from the Earth “wild water” which nourishes all your cells as you drink the most delicious water you can imagine. The lifeblood of the land is the mountain stream that flows centrally through the Sanctuary. It is this life-giving water that we listen to as we settle into our hearts and go into depth perception. The gardens are full of medicinal herbs, beautiful flowers and nourishing food. Wander amongst the wild plants and forest full of mixed hardwoods and evergreens while being touched by the embrace of nature. This land has received many ceremonies over the years and prayers are made on a regular basis. Your experience here goes beyond information exchange touching into your heart, soul and spirit for core integration, assimilation, and connection with yourself and nature. The Nature Beings of Sweetwater Sanctuary know how to live in community and want to welcome us back into co-creative partnership so that we all may thrive. As you are held in the nurturing fold of Sweetwater Sanctuary transformation is not only possible but probable.
You will:
-
Have restorative time immersed in the vibrant nature of Sweetwater Sanctuary
-
Connect deeply with your Nature Ally
-
Uncover the roots of separation hindering a deeper relationship with Earth
-
Gather in community around a Fire circle
-
Develop a personal path for moving forward in co-creative partnership with Nature

Dear Community and Relatives,
We would like to invite you to our Center for Sacred Studies Prayer Portal call on July 31, 2019, 5 pm PST.
Margin will be hosting the Prayer Portal call this month with our Center for Sacred Studies Grandmother Elder Jyoti. This will be the eighth of twelve calls that have been scheduled once a month on the last Wednesday of the month. These calls include different facilitators each time so that we can offer a diverse dialogue.
We are hoping to hold a focus of the Now!
What is happening and what can be our response?
How is this walk a prayer in motion for unity and peace?
What is the shadow that has been brought out in our collective for healing?
How can we stay fully present as we follow the guidance of prophecy that comes to guide us through these times?
Witness the many Divine channels that are intervening now to help us.
Our call this month is “Listening to the Wisdom of the Earth” – Please join us as Jyoti our Grandma Elder, Founding member of Kayumari with her husband Russell Park; one of the Founding members of the Center for Sacred Studies; Founder of the Fountain Project and Spiritual Grandma for our Global Community Village, shares with us on July 31st about her pilgrimage trip across the UK starting at the north shore and extended across the UK to the south shore, aligning and restoring the Michael and Mary lines. Along these lines, she attended the KIVA gathering and the Glastonbury Festival. She then went onto Peru, participating in meetings and ceremonies with elders of the Quechua Peoples. Her final stopping point was in Colombia in meetings and ceremony with the Mamos. She brings back messages and shares the collaborative actions that are following the direction of the Eagle/Condor Prophecy.
Jyoti writes:
‘Dear Relatives and Community,
I am traveling in a spiritual pilgrimage for almost 6 weeks which will take me across England and into Peru and Colombia. Shortly after I return, we will have our call. So much is challenging us in this turning time. Mother Earth has a clear focus on where she is taking us. Listen carefully to her messages. They may come in your dreams. In your experiences with Nature. Through your intuition and visions. Gather this as I travel, so that we can all share what we have received. And through that collaborative sharing, we will glimpse at what she is revealing.
Off on my pony!!!
Talk to you soon.’
Jyoti
We look forward to being on the call together!
Please read on to see how to join us!!
See you there!!!
With blessings of love and peace,
Jyoti, Darlene and the Staff of the Center for Sacred Studies

Welcome to the Self-Study version of Living the New Story Series 2 !
Our live journey ran from September 2018 to April 2019 and each of the 8 videoconferencing sessions were recorded.
Throughout the eight sessions, we are inviting you to take an experiential journey into what needs to change in us, and in the human story. Each session will explore, at increasing levels of depth, what it is to live the new story personally, and accelerate it collectively, through:
-
Understanding our own personal journey inside of our larger, collective story of human evolution.
-
Awakening to ourselves as dynamic, inspired agents of change and learning how to powerfully cocreate the future of our world in a way that is uniquely ours.
-
Catalysing our growth and evolution beyond the patterns and core beliefs of our past to make way for the new story to unfold.
-
Honouring the best of the old story and integrating it into the new.
-
Connecting with, and beginning to harness, the power of the collective field to carry the new story forward.
As we change our story, we change our world
We humans find our way by story. Our stories shape us, hold us and give meaning to our lives. Every so often it becomes clear that a prevailing story is no longer serving. Now is such a time. Humanity needs a new, inspiring picture of the future to live into.
This website is designed to support the emergence of a coherent new story for humanity and the production of practical, collaborative ways to live this new story.
We invite you to help us accelerate our collective understanding of what the ‘world in waiting’ holds for us, what is already emerging and what needs to change, both in us and in the human story.
As a first step in this journey already begun by others, the Findhorn Foundation gifted to the world – The New Story Summit: Inspiring Pathways for our Planetary Future –which was held from 27 September to 3 October 2014…a gift economy gathering of the human family to experience planetary community, draw on our collective intelligence and co-create a story to inspire us all.
The Summit was more than full so we know there is huge support and longing for a new way to live together – a way which honours ancient wisdom and the interconnected whole living system of which we, the Earth and the cosmos are all part. It’s all connected and we are all accountable. To find out more, visit our Summit page.
This online hub will continue to be just that – a hub for people from all over the world to meet, engage, collaborate, share information, dream, synergise and inspire each other to live a new story.
If you would like to join this wave of collaborative action to shift consciousness and build on the threads of a new story already being lived and experimented with, you are very welcome. We invite your engagement, transparency, trust, compassion, innovation, entrepreneurship and generosity of spirit

Socially Conscious Leadership from the Inside Out
Our guest this week has come to believe that “No matter how wonderful a program is, if it is done as a bestowing – a certain group of people making decisions for another group – that is never going to bridge the divide in our city.” Does your work fit within this paradigm of “bestowing,” and how do you plant seeds for a deeper mindset or consciousness shift to address underlying structural issues? Share Your Reflection »
Dallas-based therapist, activist, writer, community leader and speaker Michelle Kinder examines and teaches conscious leadership “from the inside out.” She offers practical, achievable steps for parents, teachers and others to support children’s social-emotional health, and for business and other leaders to drive transformation in their lives and organizations. While exploring the lack of mental health resources in southern Dallas, Kinder got to know the work of the Momentous Institute, a 99-year-old Dallas-based nonprofit organization that has been building and repairing social-emotional health through education and mental health programs. Momentous Institute serves vulnerable children through therapy services, curriculum and teacher training focused on See full.
Five Questions for Michelle
What Makes You Come Alive?
Thank you for asking. Learning makes me come alive. Learning combined with contribution has long been a winning formula for me feeling most alive. Over the years I developed the habit of checking in with myself every six months or so with the questions “Am I learning? Am I contributing?” There have been interesting seasons on how the two balance each other. There are times that striving to contribute crowded out the kind of white space by brain needs for deep learning and I have had to course correct. And there have been other times that I was learning a lot, but didn’t feel like I was being a good steward in terms of making a difference for other people or for causes I care about. I should also say that because I am currently in a season of more white space and more time for discernment, increasingly, simple pleasures are what make me come alive. Listening to birds, watching our dogs, yoga, running, sunshine, good coffee and the sound of my girls laughing together. Things like that.
Pivotal turning point in your life?
When I was in High School I left my family in Guatemala and came to the states to attend boarding school. It was a transformational experience. The wonderful faculty there saw qualities in me that they nurtured into leadership and I really learned who I was and what I was capable of during those four years. Interestingly, in my previous school, there were teachers who experienced the exact same qualities as problematic, annoying or something to control. Having that experience has made me very interested in how adults show up in the lives of children in a way that respects the enormous privilege and responsibility. I always say there are no neutral interactions when it comes to our relationships with children – all interactions are either positive, negative or missed opportunities.
An Act of Kindness You’ll Never Forget?
When I was in college, my 24-year-old sister died suddenly and it was an enormous challenge to go back to school while navigating the grief process. Several weeks into it, when people had stopped checking in, I found a card tucked into one of my books. It was from a classmate I knew somewhat, but not super well. It said something like, “I know time has passed but your hurt hasn’t.” I still tear up thinking about that act of kindness. It meant so much and it has shaped my desire to show up for others in similar ways.
One Thing On Your Bucket List?
Have the kind of flexibility to visit different places for a month at a time and work remotely while folding into the local scene.
One-line Message for the World?
Regardless of the situation, if you ever aren’t sure how to be most helpful, regulate your own nervous system.

ServiceSpace is an organization run entirely by volunteers. We leverage technology to encourage everyday people around the world to do small acts of service. Our aim is to ignite the fundamental generosity in ourselves and others, creating both inner and outer transformation.
ServiceSpace was conceived by volunteers, was built by volunteers, and is run by volunteers — all for the benefit of volunteers. Our projects range from a daily positive news service, to an acts-of-kindness portal, to a gift-economy restaurant. Regardless of the endeavor, we act in concert to create service opportunities for each other and to support each other’s service journeys.
In September of 2011, we formally changed our name from CharityFocus to ServiceSpace. Founded in 1999, ServiceSpace was originally started to help non-profits with technical services. Over the past dozen years, the organization has become an umbrella for many generosity-driven projects. Thus we have expanded our services from focusing just on helping charities, to encouraging everyday people to contribute in meaningful ways to the world around them. As the name suggests, our new expanded ServiceSpace platform allows people to stay connected with others interested in service, participate in service opportunities through any of our dozen projects, organize their own local service event using our tools, and stay connected to inspirational content. Above all, we believe in the inherent generosity of others and aim to ignite that spirit of service. Through our small, collective acts, we hope to transform ourselves and the world.
We hold these three principles steadfast within our organization:
Stay fully volunteer-run.
ServiceSpace was founded by volunteers and is run by volunteers. There is no paid staff, no office, and no central facilities. All ServiceSpace programs are conceived, designed, implemented, and administered by people who selflessly give their time so that others can benefit from those services.
Based on twelve years of our experience with a volunteer-run infrastructure, we’ve developed a streamlined process that structures projects in a distributed and decentralized manner. This allows more volunteers to give small chunks of time and still deliver high quality services to the end-receiver.
Being volunteer-run also allows us to organically self-organize. Instead of hierarchies and prefabricated business plans, our volunteer infrastructure is dynamic, low-cost and open to radical change. Everything is based on relationships and presence, and that creates a powerful context to BE the change.
We continue to be amazed at what inspired and dedicated individuals can do. Margaret Mead eloquently said, “Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world; indeed, it’s the only thing that ever does.” We could not agree more.
Serve with whatever we have.
We have chosen a slightly different path than most organizations, and choose not to focus on fundraising, grants, or other sources of revenue – for example, none of our websites contain any advertisement. All services are distributed are gifted without any fees. Thus, we serve with whatever support and resources that come in organically when people are truly moved to give.
ServiceSpace projects are built within a gift-economy system, an economic system in which goods and services are given freely, rather than traded. In a traditional market economy, one’s wealth is increased by saving. In a gift economy, giving leads to increase: an increase in connections and relationship strength.
Our services are given freely, without asking for anything in return. Instead of scarcity and fear for an uncertain future, our second principle roots us in abundance and trust. We have realized that over time, if you serve with pure intentions, people’s cups of gratitude overflow. They don’t give to fulfill a need, they give as an expression of their own solidarity and joy. These genuine gifts, no matter how small or large, are what sustains us.
Focus on the small.
Our attempt is to do “small acts with great love”. As our tagline says, “Change Yourself, Change the World.” If we started out by having a goal to change the world, we might have been a little disappointed in our abilities; when we start with ourselves, we notice that the ripples around us continue to get bigger and bigger and as more people try to do small acts, we have every potential to change the world.
Just as every tiny bit of a hologram contains information of the whole, we feel that paying attention to the process, to the present moment, gives us plenty of information to become instruments of a larger, systemic change.
This is how ServiceSpace makes things happen. But essentially the engine that drives the organization is inspiration, pure and simple. We learn from each other, spur each other, help each other, and frequently amaze each other. Sure, we are stirred by the words and lives of great men and women like Gandhi and Martin Luther King and Mother Theresa; but the examples set by our ServiceSpace colleagues–everyday heroes–are the real sustaining forces behind our projects.

It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Nicole Sangsuree Barrett. She was hit by a car when she attempted to cross the Chiang Mai superhighway in Thailand on foot. It was determined that Nicole died instantly from the collision. She had friends with her who witnessed the accident and were grieving heavily by the time the emergency services arrived. After rescue teams helped calm Nicole’s friends, the women asked everyone to sing the Thai song “Deuan Pen” as it was her favorite song. Nicole will be missed at Women of Wisdom. She was a dynamic performer and an amazing activist and woman. Here is a video she finished just before her death. She performed this on our stage for the 2014 Women of Wisdom conference to the delight of many. It is an amazing tribute of her talent, beauty, and passion. We will miss you Nicole but know that your light continues to shine and your journey continues.

World Day of Prayer 2019—Invitation
Guiding Prayer
Breathing in to prayer, I am in awe of the unbound spirit, the infinite presence within and around me. God is vitality in my breath, beauty in the natural world, strength in my determination, and compassion in my acts of service. I recognize God in the spaciousness of the universe as well as in my limitless dreams.
Let me set my sight beyond where I have seen before, into the vast reality of divine power and presence. Let me draw upon divine power and presence in order to fulfill my great potential.
In the harmony of prayer, my heart beats to the rhythm of God. The pulse of infinite life moves me, nourishes me, and empowers me to give life to my dreams.

Inspired by an ancient Tibetan Buddhist tradition, the Earth Treasure Vase Global Healing Project brings healing and protection to the Earth by filling consecrated clay vessels with prayers and offerings, and ceremonially burying them in the Earth in collaboration with indigenous elders, young activists and grassroots leaders in places where healing and protection are most needed around the planet.
The project began in 1990, when Cynthia met a 106 year-old lama living in a cave in the Himalayas and asked him, What can we do to bring healing and protection to the Earth? He gave her this practice and since then, 49 Earth Treasure Vases have been planted (5 of these are in process now) in sacred places, war torn communities, mountains, forests and sources of rivers on every inhabited continent. The vases form a living global mandala of prayers and intentions for the healing of the Earth. With 21 vases still to go, the practice continues with pilgrimages to many new locations. On every full moon we gather for a guided meditation to direct our prayers and intentions into the vases and energize the global mandala, embracing Gaia with our heartfelt presence and sacred offerings.

OJAI, Calif — Planet Earth is not a star but it rises to outright star status in one of the most fascinating film documentaries of 2019.
In “The Earthing Movie,” produced by award-winning filmmakers Josh and Rebecca Tickell, the curtain rises to demonstrate − to very unsuspecting audiences – that our planet packs surprisingly huge healing properties.
The film relates the discovery of the healing power of the planet’s electrically charged surface, a natural, perpetual energy shown in multiple studies over the last 20 years to significantly reduce inflammation, pain, and stress, produce deeper sleep, more energy, and improve circulation.
Earthing, also known as grounding, refers to accessing these major health benefits by walking outdoors on natural surfaces or using commercially available grounding products indoors while you sit or sleep.
In short, Earthing is a simple lifestyle addition that connects you to the Earth’s healing touch. You get the benefits without effort or dieting.
The Earthing movie debuted at the Sedona International Film Festival earlier this year to a packed audience of 750 people. It subsequently won the Audience Award at the Dances With Films Festival at the Grauman’s Chinese Theater in Hollywood in June.
The movie features actresses Amy Smart and Mariel Hemingway, integrative medicine pioneer Deepak Chopra, and an array of physicians, who, along with Earthing pioneer Clint Ober, describe the unique science and benefits of Earthing.
September showings include Palm Springs, London (The Health Optimisation Summit), Los Angeles, and Santa Monica, and at the Yoga’s Research Society’s annual convention on November 16 in Philadelphia.
For showtimes, screening locations, and a short trailer of the film, see www.EarthingMovie.com
The film is currently doing a festival circuit after which it will be available on major digital platforms both in the U.S. and internationally.
You can read a review of the film here: http://crimsonkimono.
Previous films by Josh and Rebecca Tickell’s Big Picture Ranch Production Company, based in Ojai, California, have won multiple awards for social and environmental documentaries, including awards at Sundance, Seattle, Gaia, and Sustainable Planet film festivals.
For more information about Earthing, refer to the Earthing book and the Earthing Institute website
Whether you practice Earthing outdoors or indoors, make sure you do it routinely. Stay connected to the Earth’s healing power! Indoor grounding products developed by Earthing pioneer Clint Ober are available at earthing.com and www.

2019 Festival Tickets & Passes
Tickets & passes are now on sale of the 2019 Global Peace Film Festival
Sept. 16-22, 2019
About the Festival
The Global Peace Film Festival, established in 2003, uses the power of the moving image to further the cause of peace on earth. From the outset, the GPFF envisioned “peace” not as the absence of conflict but as a framework for channeling, processing and resolving conflict through respectful and non-violent means.
People of good faith have real differences that deserve to be discussed, debated and contested.
GPFF works to connect expression – artistic, political, social and personal – to positive, respectful vehicles for action and change. The festival program is carefully curated to create a place for open dialogue, using the films as catalysts for change.
Don’t miss out on our Online Global Peace Film Festival, which goes live Monday, Sept. 16. Visit peacefilmest.org to watch the films in our online festival wherever you are, on whatever device you want!

World Peace Card Meditations
Wednesday, September 18, 7:30pm
(based on local time in your time zone)
International Center for Reiki Training <reiki@reiki.org
You are invited to take part in the next World Peace Card Meditation. Please mark your calendar and forward this email to all your friends.
Thanks for Your Help!
Because so many of you forwarded this email to your friends, there have been almost 396,800 downloads of the World Peace Cards. This is a tremendous increase in the number of people using the cards. So far the total number of World Peace Card sets downloaded, received from our free offer and from our magazine has been nearly 440,000! I hope you have been using your peace cards as their use brings blessings to the world as well as to you.
The next World Peace Card group meditation have been scheduled for Wednesday, September 18 at 7:30pm. This is local time in your time zone. This method has been chosen because of the special effect it produces. As people meditate in each successive time zone the energy builds like a wave which gets stronger and stronger as it circles the planet. Because of the higher dimensional nature of consciousness, the energy of peace will be transmitted for a full 24 hours and continue long after this.
Reports from those who took part in the previous meditations indicate many had powerful spiritual experiences. As they united with those taking part in the meditation a feeling of peace developed within that stayed with each for a long time. Some saw beautiful golden light surrounding the planet and others felt that a web of fear was dissipating and being replaced with trust in others and for our future. All those who have received the cards are being asked to meditate on world peace at this time. By taking part in this group meditation, you’ll be joining thousands of people who will be using the cards to bring peace to the world. By joining together, the affect we have will be greatly multiplied. This powerful experience and will help shift the vibration of our wonderful planet into a higher state of consciousness. As you use the cards to meditate on world peace, you will be a beacon through which peace will spread around the planet which will have a positive uplifting effect on all people. Please set aside this time to meditate with the cards. The suggested meditation period is 15 minutes, but of course you can meditate longer if you’d like to. The technique I’d like you to use is based on allowing yourself to be a beacon of peace. The World Peace Cards hold the vibration of the World Peace Grids which have been placed at spiritually significant locations and are relay stations for higher consciousness. By simply opening to their energy, you’ll become a channel for their love and peace which will flow through you to all the people on Earth. To do this, hold the cards in your hands or place them in front of you. Then simply meditate on peace. We are entering a new era. Our entire planet including all the people and living things are moving into a place where it will be much easier to solve our problems and to create peace, prosperity and happiness for everyone. The World Peace Card meditation will quicken this process, making it easier for people to experience this new quality of higher consciousness and will provide great benefit for all people. Since this benefit will be flowing through you out to everyone on the planet, you’ll be blessed by this experience as well. Many have received the cards in the mail or in the Reiki News Magazine while others have downloaded them from our web site. If you would like additional copies of the cards, please download them using this link and print as many copies as you can use. Please feel free to give them to your friends. Also, forward this email to anyone you feel would like to take part in the meditation.

New Reiki Grid – Send Reiki to Others
We also have a new image of the World Peace Crystal Grid that can be used for a Reiki Grid. By using it for your Reiki Grid you’ll be tapping into the energy of all the peace grids and this will add to the energy that is sent to all those whose names or photos you place in the grid making the Reiki more effective and adding wonderful feelings of peace and harmony. And each time you charge your grid, you’ll be charging the peace grids for world peace! With this system you’ll use 12 crystals around the outside – placing 1 crystal over each of the crystals in the photo plus 1 crystal in the center and 1 as your master crystal for a total of 14 crystals. The additional crystals will also hold and transmit more energy. Also, remember you can place your goals into the grid as well. I suggest printing it on glossy photo paper if you have it or you could get some at your office supply store. You’ll need to trim the one side of the grid after it’s printed. https://www.reiki.org/ Read the story of the World Peace Grids This is a pdf file of an article that appeared in the Winter 2004 issue of the Reiki News Magazine. Join the International Council of Thirteen Indigenous Grandmothers, Dr. Henrietta Mann, Nena Thurman and other special guests for the book launch of“Grandmothers Wisdom: Reverence for All Creation”.
The Earth is our loving grandmother. For all time, Cheyenne storytellers, generation after generation, have repeated this belief with both their minds and their hearts. As they say, The Great One, Everywhere Spirit, created the universe and all life with power so vast it defies human imagination. Entirely with the force of thought, the four powerful spirit beings came into existence to witness creation and to eventually safeguard and shelter all life, especially human beings. Next came the water of life, the fire and light of the sun, the infinite sky air, and compassionate Earth. The Great One, Everywhere Spirit, contemplated creation and thought the Earth to be the most beautiful of all, then declared that the Earth be known as our grandmother.
Grandmother Earth is also, more commonly, referred to as Mother Earth. Indeed, she is first woman, first mother, first teacher, oldest mother, and oldest grandmother. The Thirteen Indigenous Grandmothers whose magnificent lives are encapsulated in the work of this book represent Earth’s titanic spirit, power, beauty, and love. Individually and collectively, they are rooted in the Earth and carry her wisdom as a perpetual trust. They are committed to sustaining their Earth home and to educating and defending the hearts of all the world’s children.
Please join us in celebrating the manifestation of “Grandmothers Wisdom: Reverence for All Creation”, life and the continuation of this movement of peace, spiritual activism, honoring Mother Earth and future generations.
Seating is first-come, first-served.
Reception and book signing to follow. To join the signing line, we ask that you please purchase a copy of the book available at the event.

More recently the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development recognizes that there can be no sustainable development without peace, and no peace without sustainable development. In addition, Securing our Common Future: An Agenda for Disarmament, the disarmament agenda released in 2018 by UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres, outlines the links between disarmament and many of the SDGs.

.
The International Day of Peace (“Peace Day”) is observed around the world each year on 21 September. Established in 1981 by unanimous United Nations resolution 36/37, the General Assembly has declared this as a day devoted to “commemorating and strengthening the ideals of peace both within and among all nations and peoples.”
Join us to create a wave of peace
as you hold your Moments of Mass Mindfulness
at midday across the world in your local time zones
for International Peace Day.

.MOMM is thrilled to be part of the Peace Coalition network of Peace One Day and a global partner of Pace e Bene’s Campaign
Moments of Mass Mindfulness (MOMM) is a meditation movement for everyone. We are raising awareness of, and co-creating in community, a model that fully embraces the true definition of health as both an Art and a Science. At the heart of it all, we’re focused on building community, connection, collaboration and to enhance personal wellbeing.
Imagine if mindfulness and meditation was a regular part of daily life in society. If every person was able to slow down, and connect with their calmer, essential self and find balance, it’s likely feelings of negative self-talk and aggression would disappear. Mindfulness is a strategy for directing yourself away from these self-incriminating thoughts and limiting beliefs. It’s a meditative practice of paying attention to your body, mind, and surroundings in a non-judgmental manner.
Mindfulness can be thought of as a form of self-care. Science has proven (1) that it’s a valuable antidote to the fast pace of our now technology-driven culture, and mind body techniques, when used effectively, can influence our brain activity and lead to a reduction in stress, mood and anxiety.
Mindfulness and meditation is recommended as a treatment for people with mental ill-health – (1) It is recommended by NICE as a preventative practice for people with experience of recurrent depression (2)), as well as those who want to improve their mental health and wellbeing (3). There are numerous studies showing compelling support for Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR), which helps people to cope with stress, and for Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT), which is designed to help people with recurring depression. There has become little doubt that its use is an effective intervention and prevention technique.
The importance of mental health both to human wellbeing and the prosperity of the country has been well established in a number of recent reports (including the report of the Wellbeing Economics APPG published last year), and it has prompted the government’s initiative to set up the What Works Centre for Wellbeing in 2015, hosted by Public Health England (4).
Conversations and collaborations are springing up through a new paradigm of self care and lifestyle medicine, which combine objective knowledge and subjective experiential practices. These practices, towards balance and coherence, energise and rejuvenate both mind and body. Meditation, mindfulness, indeed all contemplative practices serve to calm the nervous system, activating the body’s own natural healing system, our ‘inner pharmacy’ aided by health-improving behaviours of better nutrition, exercise, stress reduction and a good night’s sleep. This combination of the health sciences from both modern day and traditional care, will help fulfil the potential future of vibrant health and well-being.
Let’s come together with open minds, open hearts and pure intention.

New Moon Global Call to Action
Sacred Reciprocity: Learning to Live in Harmony with All of Life A FREE Interactive Global Conversation with Michael & Puma Fredy Quispe Singona Friday, August 30th, 9-10:30am Pacific There is so much that is affecting us, so much heavy energy, worry, stress, and fear that is affecting our physical bodies and sending us to the hospitals. We need to take care of our heart and mind in order to completely heal our physical bodies.
Puma Fredy Quispe Singona I am very excited to announce that our dear friend Fredy “Puma” Quispe will be joining us for this month’s new moon call. Puma, who lives in Cusco Peru, was trained by his grandfather from the age of 6. He has been walking the path of a traditional Andean Medicine Man and is recognized as a holder of ancient Andean wisdom.
Puma and Michael will be exploring the concept and application of Ayni, the sacred art of reciprocity, to our lives and human evolution. August is the month for celebrating Mother Earth in Peru, although it seems that this is true of every month with the indigenous people. Please join us as we explore how to meet the challenges of separation, alienation and divisiveness that are growing in our world today. Our separation from the natural world is not only killing us, we are taking the bulk of all the earth’s species with us in our quest for more of what we really don’t need. When we learn to think in terms of systems we recognize that everything is connected and plays a vital role in the balance of the energetic forces of the universe…
Michael Stone Fredy “Puma” Quispe is a prominent citizen within his local community and a member of the Elders Council in Chinchero, Peru as well as the co-founder of Cusi Huayna, a youth group focused on re-strengthening the community through the remembrance of traditional dance, story, and weaving. He is accredited to sharing the secrets of the Andes with hundreds of tourists each year as a guide on the Inca Trail while continuing to study with Quechua elders throughout the Sacred Valley.
Today Puma plays an active role in world affairs by sitting on several international and indigenous councils including the World Wisdom Council, whose honorary chair is Mikhail Gorbachyev. He was also featured in 4Real which began as a documentary television series that features young leaders who, under extreme circumstances, are affecting real change on some of the most pressing issues of our time, and has now expanded to include an online global community. Through this work, he is ensuring the contribution of indigenous wisdom toward strengthening the vision of global harmony and healing. Michael Stone is a multi-faceted leader in the realm of shamanism and spiritual development. He is the on the faculty of the Shift Network and is the host and producer of the Shamanism Global Summit. For the past 15 years he has hosted KVMR’s weekly Award winning show Conversations, which highlights leading edge thinkers, authors and activists in environmental restoration, social justice and spiritual fulfillment. As co-founder of Quantum Consulting he works with organizations to combine quantum theory with mystical shamanism to promote healing, wellness and belief change with his clients. Michael leads classes, tele-seminars and workshops on embodied shamanism, meditation and unity spirituality.

Meet Your Facilitators
Julie Caldwell, MA
Over two decades ago Julie opened the doors of Humboldt Herbals ~ a full service herbal apothecary located in the heart of the Redwoods on the pristine northern California coast. She and her staff of experienced herbalists now serve hundreds of community members each month who rely on Humboldt Herbals as a primary source of health care.
Originally from Alabama, Julie grew up with a plant talking granny, a pharmacist father, an artist mother, and loads of fiddle-playing, guitar picking relatives. Her first serious relationship with a plant began over 45 years ago at age 5, when she became great friends with a wild black cherry tree her granny called Crazy Doug. Julie’s “formal” education includes a BS in research psychology and biology, a MA in contemporary American poetry, and many, many herb classes including extensive studies with Pam Montgomery. The works of Pam, Stephen Harrod Buhner and Rosemary Gladstar have greatly influenced her herbal approach. She serves on the Visioning Council for the Organization of Nature Evolutionaries, and continues to enjoy a long history of spiritual exploration with wise ones from various traditions around the world.
Julie offers personal sessions, classes and herb walks in the Humboldt County area, and facilitates ongoing retreats in sacred Mount Shasta. To learn more about Julie’s classes, services, and herb shop, you can sign up for the Humboldt Herbals monthly newsletter at www.humboldtherbals.com.
Elyshia Holliday
In the spring of 2000 Elyshia left her thriving naturopathic practice in the Central Valley of California and moved to the mountains of New Mexico, where she co-founded a non-profit organization dedicated to healing the relationship between human beings and Mother Earth. She studied with many teachers and elders in the course of supporting this mission, who were called upon to guide and share their innate perspective of living as part of a whole earth system. Their wisdom and knowledge has had a profound influence on the way Elyshia views life, healing, and our basic guardianship of earth.
Growing up in the Cascade Mountains of Oregon created a unique opportunity to be close to the mountains, waters, trees and the wild in her everyday life. The quietness of the land allowed Elyshia to learn to listen to nature, to the wind blowing through the tall pines and currents of the river flowing across skin. It was good preparation!
Although it seems the most important things she learned came from elders, the cosmos and the Earth herself, Elyshia’s formal education includes a BS in Biology with concentrations in molecular biology and biochemistry as well as Master Herbalist, Master Iridologist and Naturopathy certificates from the School of Natural Medicine in Boulder, Colorado where she studied with Farida Sharan.
Much of the work Elyshia has done and continues to do is centered around community group facilitation, sacred nourishment, and helping people expand their relationship with Mother Earth. Since 2016 she has initiated and been engaged with a multi year regeneration project focused on healing the human-land-water relationship, especially in relation to erosion, desertification and the balance of the masculine and feminine. Elyshia continues to contribute in New Mexico and is the Executive Director of O.N.E..
Deposit and Registration
Deposit of $150 holds your place (nonrefundable). We will email registration form after we receive your deposit. The remaining balance of the sliding scale you choose is due by August 25th. Please email info@natureevolutionaries with any questions.

About Us
About Tewa Women United
Located in the ancestral Tewa homelands of Northern New Mexico, Tewa Women United is a multicultural and multiracial organization founded and led by Native women.
The name “Tewa Women United” comes from the Tewa words wi don gi mu which can be translated as “we are one” in mind, heart and in the spirit of love for all.
Our Beginnings
Tewa Women United (TWU) started in 1989 as a support group for women from the Pueblos of the northern Rio Grande concerned with the traumatic effects of colonization, religious inquisition, and militarization leading to issues such as alcoholism, suicide, domestic/sexual violence and environmental violence. In the safe space we created, we transformed and empowered one another through critical analysis and by embracing and reaffirming our cultural identity.
In 2001 we transitioned from an informal, all volunteer group to a 501(c)3 non-profit organization.
Tewa Women United was incorporated for educational, social and benevolent purposes, specifically for the ending of all forms of violence against Native Women and girls, Mother Earth and to promote peace in New Mexico.
Our Vision
TWU believes in strengthening and re-strengthening beloved families and communities to end violence against women, girls, and Mother Earth.
Our Mission
The mission of TWU is to provide courageous spaces for Indigenous women to uncover the power, strength, and skills they possess to become positive forces for transformative change in their families and communities.
Our Values
A’Gin – respect for self and others
Wina ta yay – Together we live these values
Seegi ma vay i – Loving, caring for each other
Kwee-wa seng-wa vi tuu – female/ male energy – ancestral knowingness
Nung Ochuu Quiyo – Our Mother, Mother Earth, multi-versity
Bin mah pah di – Letting go
Wowatsi – Our breath, our prayer, commitment to live life with purpose and good intentions

At Science and Nonduality (SAND), preeminent scientists, philosophers, mystics and artists gather to explore and advance the new paradigm emerging in spirituality that is both grounded in cutting-edge science and consistent with the ancient wisdom of nonduality—the deep understanding of the interconnectedness of life.
To open the conference, Cynthia is excited to offer a teaching on Sacred Activism for the Great Turning; the Earth Treasure Vase Global Healing Meditation. Like acupuncture needles in the living body of the Earth, little holy vessels known as Earth Treasure Vases have been offered to Gaia to form a healing mandala of nodes and meridians imagined as a web of light to serve us as we awaken together into our own unique role in the great work of our time—to heal the web of life, restore balance and harmony, envision our world anew, and embody that vision with every fiber of our life force for the benefit of all. Charles Eisenstein’s excellent essay, Every Act a Ceremony, refers to the ETV practice. Charles will also be a speaker at SAND. October 23–27, 2019

For scientists, bonds and connections are essential to the working of the universe; for mystics, love is the ultimate principle. From the depths of physics to the delights of being human, relationships make life possible.
The mechanistic view of reality which sees the world as separate objects, separate individuals, communities and nations, has led to fragmentation in every aspect of life. We are now realizing that, from quarks to people, from gut bacteria to galaxies, it’s all about interconnectedness, cooperation, and symbiosis.
This year, SAND will be bringing together some of the brightest minds in science, along with spiritual teachers from various traditions and artists, in a quest to expand and deepen our understanding and experience of our relational nature through the two lenses of science and spirituality. We will explore and integrate our human knowledge and experience around the theme of relationships. We will inquire into the many scales of relationship we are part of, from microbes and bacteria to mushrooms and trees, to people and families, to galaxies and black holes.
At the end of the day, no matter how complex the field of study becomes, the innate intelligence and reflective nature of the universe shines through. Love is what breathes life into the equations; Love is the field in which the quarks and human beings relate.
We will meet you there.

7 DAYS OF REST and RADIANT DIVERSITY
HOME | ECO-GOVERNANCE | CITIZENS FOR A HEALTHY EARTH | CLIMATE | SOLUTIONS | 7 DAYS OF REST
For 7 Days of Rest & Radiant Diversity January 1 – 7, 2020 individuals and groups across the world will create and participate in events dedicated to cultivating Harmony in Diversity – a core organizing principle of Codes for a Healthy Earth. Together we will co-create an experiential journey to cultivate peace and empathy with each other and with all of Life. The event offers a creative space for partners and supporters of the Codes to share their unique offerings and wisdom for nourishing a global culture that honors and celebrates the diversity of Creation.
Welcome to 7 Days of Rest
7 Days of Rest is an annual global event that takes place the first week of every year. The aim of the event is to begin the new year by co-creating a global unified field of intention and experience dedicated to the healing and replenishment of the planet and all its inhabitants.
The event provides an open, co-creative space for individuals and groups around the world to freely share and self-organize online and physical events such as retreats, webinars, meditations, ceremonies, sacred activism, artistic expression and more.
For 2020, 7 Days of Rest & Radiant Diversity, will be dedicated to exploring and remembering the essential nature of Life-enhancing diversity. Together we will cultivate our capacity to engage with ourselves, each other, and the world around us with greater empathy and wisdom, and learn about the vitalizing nature of our similarities, differences, and complementarities.
7 days of rest & radiant diversity january 1 – 7, 2020
An Invitation
During the first 7 Days of 2020
individuals and groups around the world
unite to co-create a global field of intention
dedicated to cultivating harmony in diversity.
We rest from our habitual patterns of how see
and relate to the world around us and within us.
Inspired by the foundations of Life,
we reconnect with the Language of Vibration-
the primal Language of Life.
Awakening our senses in new ways,
we remember a deeper capacity for communion
with Mother Earth and all Her Children
and recognize more and more of ourselves in the “other”
and the “other” in ourselves.
Each day we discover and befriend
diverse human and non-human perspectives,
nourishing our gratitude and empathy for all of Creation.
Together we honor and celebrate the multi-faceted,
mutually-enriching nature of existence.
and shine our unique colors
in harmony with each other and all of Life.
Introducing
Codes for a Healthy Earth
For the first time, the upcoming 7 Days of Rest will be directly connected with another global initiative called Codes for a Healthy Earth. Codes for a Healthy Earth offers a foundational whole-system framework to support citizens in working together across national, cultural and ideological boundaries for radical system transformation and rapid social and ecological regeneration. One of the core organizing principles for the “Codes” is cultivating harmony in diversity.
Previous Years of
7 days of rest
We will soon be updating this website for the 2020 event. To learn more about the inspiring events, wisdom offerings and learnings from previous years please follow the links below:
During the first 7 Days of Rest, we co-created a field of re-calibrating with the essential vibration of Rest from which the old can be shed, disease can begin to heal, and new healthy Life and Consciousness can be birthed.
During the second 7 Days of Rest & Reflection, we reconnected with the Foundations of Life in new ways so that we could learn to honor and protect these foundations within us and beyond us as an essential part of our collective healing.
(Re-)Discovering
7 days of rest & reflection, january 1 – 7, 2019
THANK YOU!
Thank you for contributing to making the 7 Days of Rest & Reflection all that it was.
We are moved and grateful that so many people across the world joined to co-create the event.
This second annual event brought together individuals and groups from over 80 countries and was experienced by many as a deeply healing and loving space of abundant diversity, generosity and creativity. Together we catalyzed a renewed connection with the foundations of Life, and co-created an purposeful sense of community with like-hearted people across the globe.
The website is still active, and you are invited to discover a rich diversity of offerings that were shared during the event on the daily Calendar Pages or in the Gallery.
For ongoing sharing, connecting and inspiration please join the social media channels Facebook Page, Community Sharing Space. and Instagram
With blessings and deep gratitude,
Shelley Ostroff, Yan Golding and Lidewij Marinissen
The 7 Days of Rest and Reflection is dedicated to cultivating Sacred Relationship with all of Life. Given this intention, we are delighted to dedicate this event to the White Lions and Lionesses of Tsau, and the work of Linda Tucker and Jason A. Turner, founders of the Global White Lion Protection Trust.
As we move into the 7 Days, we invite you to pass through the White Lion and Lioness Gateway of Sacred Relationship that has inspired this event and our ongoing work as Together in Creation.
We also encourage participants to join in the Gateway Meditations offered by Cynthia Jurs and David Nicol on the first and last day of the event, connecting with a global mandala grid of vases laid by the Earth Treasure Vase Healing Project over the last 30 years.
And most of all we invite you to enrich yourselves with the abundance of generous resources offered by the global community to create your own meaningful and replenishing journey through the 7 Days.
HOW TO PARTICIPATE
Given the co-creative, emergent nature of this event, this website will continue to evolve over the week with new events and updates.
Each individual and group is invited to honour these 7 days in ways that are most meaningful to them. We recommend that you prepare for the event by sensing into and clarifying your intention for this sacred time and doing what is possible to create the optimal conditions for you to manifest this intention.
While the journey through the 7 days is a very personal one, we will offer suggestions for each day that provide an opportunity to weave meaning and deepen your experience along different themes and through different gateways.
Calendar Pages are dedicated to each day – representing one of the Foundations of Life. On these pages you will find inspiration, resources, and local and online events specific for those days. New events and information will be added on a daily basis so please check the website regularly to enjoy the full range of offerings.
Gateway Pages are pages dedicated to different themes. These gateways are specifically chosen to enrich the field of reflective experience.
A Global Map shows the participants, communities and events that registered on this website.
Community Sharing Space: A community sharing space is available for participants to share, meet, inspire and be inspired. Please note that Facebook does not share widely from groups so you may not see the posts unless you visit the group.
Facebook Page: We will use our Facebook page to share inspiration for the day, and in some cases provide updates and useful information.
Facebook Event Page: will showcase local and online events offered by the global community. On this page you can find details and directly subscribe to the events.
OFFERINGS
We are deeply moved by the range of offerings already gifted to the collective space – from Sacred Ritual Holders holding ceremony on all continents, and the subtle activism offering of the Gateway Meditations with Cynthia Jurs and David Nicol, to the frontline activism of the nonviolent civil disobedience movement of the Extinction Rebellion.
Current offerings include:art, music, reflective groups, beach clean ups, nature walks, mind-body and contemplative practices, music, videos, ceremony, webinars, meditations and more.
Diverse religious and spiritual groups are participating, each bringing their unique tradition and gifts in service of all Creation.
Our own daily offerings of guided meditations and practices invite participants to experience a deeper sense of connectedness and communion with the foundations of Life, through intuitive and imaginative attunement to the different elements: Earth, Water, Fire, Air, Climate, Biodiversity and the Web of Life,
Through an empathic leap of the imagination we sense into how these foundations exist within us and beyond us, their unique nature and qualities, and their interdependence and relationship with the other elements.
We explore reflective questions such as:
What do they reveal to us when we listen in, with all our sense and offer them our focused attention?
What can we learn from different forms of reflective engagement about how we can best protect and replenish these elements, nourish them and be nourished by them?
CREATE YOUR UNIQUE EXPERIENCE
Please consider this website as your evolving and dynamic guidebook, event calendar, and resource library for creating your own unique experience for the 7 Days.
This global event is rooted in the spirit of generosity and provides all participants and co-creators access to a wealth of offerings from around the world. This experiential field of diverse offerings contributes to personal growth, as well as our evolution as conscious protectors of Life on Earth.
Not all offerings speak to all participants. There may be those that are considered for some to be too spiritual, while by others too rational and pragmatic… too noisy or too restful, too wordy or too vague. Some are choosing to honour the event by immersing themselves in nature and disconnecting from all media and technology. This diversity is an integral part of the design that enables people from many different cultures and perspectives to unify in protection and reverence for all Life..
We invite you to choose that which feels vitalizing and accurate for you. And, if you cannot find among the offerings something that is aligned with your specific needs and ways of participating, we invite you to create and lead an offering which opens your unique window to enrich the good of the whole.
Honouring the Foundations of Life with Shelley Ostroff
For a deeper understanding of the vision and evolution of the 7 Days of Rest and Reflection Event – you can listen to this in-depth dialogue between Dr. Julie Krull and Dr. Shelley Ostroff as they explore what it means to develop a deeper connection with the foundations of Life through this event.
GRATITUDE
We look forward to co-creating with you a global field of inspiration, reconnection and replenishment – for the planet and all its inhabitants!
As a small team, during the event dedicated to Rest and Reflection, we may not be able to be available for questions and technological support. We hope to support the unfolding in whatever way we can and trust that the most powerful force at work is our individual and collective intention and practice during these days, in whatever form it takes.
We are deeply grateful to the Sacred Ritual Holders, Stewards, Partners and Co-creators who are contributing so lovingly and generously to the 7 Days of Rest Global Event. Thank you for helping this event become a powerful force for unity and healing in the world.
Blessings for a deeply healing and replenishing time for you and for all Life.
With Love and Gratitude,
Shelley Ostroff, Yan Golding and Lidewij Marinissen
The first week of 2018 brought together individuals and groups from over 60 countries in meditation, prayer, sacred ceremony and a range of creative initiatives dedicated to the healing and replenishment of the planet and all its inhabitants.
For January 1-7, 2019, the intention was to collectively seed the New Year with a global field of restful reflection on our interdependence with all of Creation. Together we will focus our intention on restoring sacred relationship of the Feminine and Masculine with each other and with the Foundations of Life – Air, Earth, Water, Fire, The Climate, Biodiversity and with the entire Web of Life.

Take Action on National Refugee Shabbat
National Refugee Shabbat 5780, which will take place on March 20-21, 2020, is a moment for congregations, organizations, and individuals around the country to dedicate a Shabbat experience to refugees and asylum seekers.
Register: Learn more about how your community or group can participate at hias.org/nrs – it’s not too late!
There are also many ways individuals can take action for refugees and asylum seekers in the week leading up to National Refugee Shabbat, as well as on the actual Shabbat itself (in accordance with individual Shabbat practice). Feel free to share the list below widely with family and friends.
12 WAYS TO TAKE ACTION THIS NATIONAL REFUGEE SHABBAT
1. Advocate – Call your Member of Congress to ask them to stand for the rights, safety and dignity of refugees and asylum seekers.
2. Get Involved in the Election – Research the candidates running in local elections in your area, and let them know that the rights of refugees and asylum seekers are among your top priority issues this year.
3. Update Your Facebook Photo Frame – Show your support for refugees by updating your Facebook profile picture with the HIAS #JewsforRefugees frame. Click here for directions.
4. Join the “Jews for Refugees” Facebook Group – Joining this group is a great way to connect with thousands of other committed individuals across the country, access up-to-the-minute information about the Jewish response to the refugee crisis, and share the actions that you are taking. Click here to join.
5. Donate Your Miles to Asylum Seekers – HIAS has partnered with Miles4Migrants (M4M), a nonprofit charity dedicated to using donated frequent flyer miles and money for the relocation of refugees and those seeking asylum – including families recently separated at the U.S.-Mexico border. HIAS and Miles4Migrants (M4M) will work to identify refugees and asylum seekers who need assistance purchasing airfare to reunite with their families. Donate your frequent flyer miles here the week of National Refugee Shabbat.
6. Buy Refugee-Produced Goods – Support refugees and asylum seekers around the world and in your local community by buying refugee-produced goods and/or researching refugee-owned restaurants in your community and having a meal there. Check out this website to purchase goods made by a collective of African asylum-seeking women living in Tel Aviv, Israel.
7. Give Life to Refugees and Asylum Seekers – In the week leading up to National Refugee Shabbat, set up a Facebook fundraiser to benefit HIAS’ work.
8. Scholarships for Displaced Students – Research whether your local universities and colleges offer scholarships to refugees and asylum seekers. If not, reach out and ask them to consider starting such a program. Check out Columbia University’s program for an example.
9. Have A Difficult Conversation – Using the HIAS Conversational Guide for How to Talk About Refugees with Family and Friends, commit to having at least one conversation with someone in your life who has expressed concern about welcoming refugees to the United States or even someone who has made disparaging remarks about refugees or asylum seekers.
10. Light Shabbat Candles with Intention – As you welcome Shabbat on March 20, use this reading before lighting Shabbat candles to set an intention to stand with refugees and asylum seekers around the globe.
11. Host A Gathering In Your Home – Invite a small group of friends over to your home for Shabbat dinner or lunch or a havdallah (the ceremony for closing Shabbat) wine and cheese gathering. At the gathering, consider using the HIAS National Refugee Shabbat 5780-2020 Programming Content Resource. Use the text study on page 6 of this guide as a jumping off point for conversation, take a look at and discuss the refugee art on page 13 of this guide, or screen the movie suggested on page 14 and 15 of this guide.
12. Start A Book Club – Start a book club – for adults or young people – to read books by and about refugees and asylum seekers. Use this list as a jumping off point for suggestions or search google for even more ideas.

We believe these actions are most effective, and most beautiful, when they are inspired by and carried out with love and respect for this beautiful planet, all who reside here, and whatever divine energies are loving us and encouraging us through this Great Turning. This feeling of connection, love, and inspiration is what we seek to create through Planet Heart’s Annual World Peace Earth Day. Please join us, be inspired, keep your heart open, and channel that love into action. ”

INNER CLIMATE CHANGE documentary

About INNER CLIMATE CHANGE
How do we navigate the intensity of emotions and reactions stirred up by climate change, or COVID-19 for that matter? How do we come to a place of peace, compassion, forgiveness and life-affirming action?
Both leading edge science and ancient wisdom traditions point us inwards for the answer.
In this documentary you will go with us on a journey to see how our inner climate relates to the topic of climate change. And how changing from within will create the change we need.
The INNER CLIMATE CHANGE documentary focuses on the very personal experiences, insights and responses to the climate crisis, of people who participated in the Climate Change and Consciousness conference (CCC19) held in 2019 at the Findhorn Ecovillage in the northeast of Scotland. Conference participants included 350 youngers and elders of multiple ethnicities and diverse genders from 45 countries.

A welcome letter from the host…
Greetings friends…
We’ve all got to follow best practices for staying safe and taking care of each other during the pandemic. This online gathering is about best practices for your inner life.
How can you rest in your own presence and non-reactivity? How can you open in compassion and let your heart’s intelligence guide your actions? How can you stay open to your experience – not grabbing onto your emotion but not bypassing it either? How can your struggles deepen your practice and bring forward new capacities?
This Being & Doing gathering will give you a chance to hear from some extraordinary, open-hearted, generous mentors. The teachers will all be live – guiding practices, taking questions and joining with you in a supportive field of collective presence. Use this opportunity to help you stay open and free inside of yourself, to nourish your resilience, and to connect with a powerful community of like-minded souls.

ADDISON, Texas — From small-town Oklahoma native to internationally acclaimed actor and musician, Wes Studi forever changed a stereotype with his unforgettable performances in Dances with Wolves, The Last of the Mohicans, Heat and Avatar.
Now, he’s working on another mission.
Yesterday, the Cherokee citizen and legendary film star released a public service announcement (PSA) to raise awareness of the serious effects of COVID-19 in Indian Country and request widespread support for Partnership With Native Americans (PWNA) to ensure Native Americans are not left behind during the pandemic.
What sparked the PSA is a series of vital health issues happening in the wake of COVID-19, even with many stay-at-home orders in place. The risk of contracting the virus is higher among Native Americans due to overcrowded housing and high rates of diabetes, kidney disease and asthma. And despite more than 7,100 confirmed cases of COVID-19 within the Navajo Nation and other tribal communities, federal aid has been slow to arrive.
In his new PSA, the Oscar winner reminds the public of the need for immediate attention and charitable donations to PWNA, which has secured tribal clearances and follows CDC and tribal guidelines to continue delivering critical items, such as food, water, sanitizer and personal protective equipment (PPE).
For more information on the PSA, and to learn how to donate, visit NativePartnership.org/
“Every day, remote reservation communities face shortages of food, water and healthcare, and COVID-19 has magnified that reality,” said Joshua Arce, PWNA president and CEO. “Donations are critical now as we bring relief to under-resourced communities.”
Studi notes PWNA is a nonprofit he trusts. In 2019, they collaborated in a five-part Realities Video Series with Wes Studi that aimed to give an accurate portrayal of reservation life and dispels long-held myths that continue to impact Native communities.

INTERNATIONAL CHILDREN LOVE THE MIRACLE~ CRYSTAL CLEAR VISION 2020
mir·a·cle | \ ˈmir-i-kəl \
Definition of miracle
1
: an extraordinary event manifesting divine intervention in human affairs
the healing miracles described in the Gospels
2
: an extremely outstanding or unusual event, thing, or accomplishment
The bridge is a miracle of engineering.
3
Christian Science : a divinely natural phenomenon experienced humanly as the fulfillment of spiritual law
This year is International Children Love The Miracle 2020. Crystal Clear Vision.
A miracle manifests or comes through people, through each other. It is an answer to a prayer, a wish, a hope, a need, and it affects us and everyone connected to us positively.
Miracles can be small, like a seed growing into our favorite food, or big like world peace.
This year we will be exploring miracles, and how we can each be someone else’s miracle.
What do miracles look like? What do miracles sound like? What do miracles do?
Let’s begin this year by pondering these concepts.
MIRACULOUS EMBODIMENT EXERCISES TO TRY!
-when we open to divine powerful energy made of light and love, positivity, goodness, care, respect, we open to the creative field that created and creates everything.
How can you explore the miraculous field?
- Sit quietly, close your eyes, breath in deeply on 3, hold for 3 release for 3. Clear your mind, and then ask the question in your heart. What do miracles look like? In your imagination, imagine the miracles you can be a part of. This can be something you do everyday, or when you feel inspired, or when you feel really uninspired. That is usually the best time to sit quietly and ask yourself about the field of the miraculous, ;when you feel out of sorts. It can help bring us back into a good place. And we can hear our inner voice.
- Create a picture: Paint, draw, color your vision of the miraculous field or of a miracle you see in your minds eye, or in your heart. The famous poet RUMI says “Your heart knows the way, Run in that direction.” we here at ICM agree.
- Write a creative piece about the field of the miraculous. Describe it for your readers, imagine through your words, and honor them as they get put down on the page.
- Make music out of the miraculous field. SIng, play an instrument, create your own song of the miraculous. What could miracles sound like? What can they say in a song?
- Dance or Movement in the miraculous field. How does it feel to be a miracle? How do we let the miraculous energy flow through our bodies? What beautiful miraculous energy can we send out into the world to uplift our family and earth?
- FREE Form- ICM invites you to get creative with the exploration of the field of the miraculous. Fill your heart with light, or a star and shine brightly and create!
NOW. BE OPEN TO BE AN INSTRUMENT FOR THE MIRACULOUS!!!!

Prides in over 500 cities around the world have been canceled
due to the coronavirus.
For millions of LGBT+ people, Pride events represent a precious moment of visibility, community, and solidarity. Pride boosts our movement and our community, powering our batteries for the coming year. Without it, our sense of belonging, our visibility, our advocacy, and our ability to support each other are all weakened.
But we don’t need to give up on Pride 2020 around the world. The power of digital gives us the chance to come together for Pride in spirit, if not with our bodies. It allows us to respect physical distancing, but embrace social and community cohesion. It allows us to celebrate who we are and who we love across borders and cultures.
